Driftless Prairies: Native Habitat Restoration

Nature inspires awe!

Plant Listing

I will be adding photos and profiles on each of these.

For simplicity, all plants are organized alphabetically by botanical name within categories of forbs, grasses, or sedges and rushes. Check out How to ID Sedges if this is new to you. You’ll find this info to make sedge ID much easier! Each of these has a specific sun or shade requirement as well as soil moisture requirement. Our land has full sun prairies, savanna areas, and woodlands. We also have dry, dry mesic, and wet mesic soil conditions.

This list includes only native plants.
